Kristen, the owner of Khicktiques

I am a picker and a painter. I love all things old, dusty, and musty. Okay, not really in love with the musty smells, but I will find ways to get that out. I love taking something old, cleaning it up and making repairs, painting it, or transforming it into something usable, so it can continue being loved.

I specialize in country, rustic, and farmhouse style decor. The furniture and vintage pieces I repaint, repurpose, or reuse usually fall under these categories.

Where does the name Khicktiques come from?

Khicken, spelt with a K like Kristen, was a nickname my father gave me when I was young. I decided to combine that with my love of antique and old things into one fun word, Khicktiques.
